The eyes of the nation were all glued to the track on the 3rd of November as Shocking rode home to victory in the 2009 Melbourne Cup.

As the race that stops a nation did just that, Quayclean was proud to be hosting a corporate event in the Champions Cocktail Marquee for the first time. Representatives from many of Quayclean’s clients were present and enjoyed the race from the comfort of the air conditioned marquee. Flemington plays host every year to this stylish and social day out which marks the single greatest race in Australia. Thousands poured through the gates as they always do, to get a glimpse at the winner and to, hopefully, back a winner themselves.

This year’s spring carnival boasted a host of extra-equine entertainment, including an appearance by some of Melbourne’s most renowned footy Illuminati, and the obligatory A list celebrities. Clients had an opportunity to participate in an auction sponsored by well known horse trainer John McCardle from Red Gum Racing, for a part share in an exciting new well bred filly. Quayclean extends our congratulations to the winners.

as always, this year’s Cup was a great chance to take a chance, and hopefully go home a little bit richer!
